This is all bullshit. Virgin Galactic and Blue Origin are just fighting over bragging rights. This won’t lead to space tourism, this won’t lead to new scientific discovery, nor will this lead to new jobs or some new revolution in my opinion.

My guess is both companies will end up defunct in the next economic downturn. Or whenever the first passengers die. Whichever comes first.

SpaceX has a better shot at being sustainable, mainly because they are not focused on tourism for the ultra-rich.
